GEMM Announces A Series of Photographic Updates
RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 27, 1998--Juina Mining Corp. (OTC BB:GEMM - news) Thursday announced the beginning of a series of photographic updates via digital transmission from the mining operation to the Company's web site. The investment community will be able to follow the progress of the processing plant's installation, gaining an insight into the basic fundamentals of GEMM's operation. The photographic updates will continue throughout the mining process including the recovery and assortment of diamonds.
Tandem with the above developments, management is working seven days a week on the plant site and installation of the production facility in Juina. The target date for production is on line for September 1998.
GEMM has complied with all of the environmental regulations set forth by FEMA, the State environmental agency. The permits have been approved and issued for the production facility.
GEMM also announced the drilling results on approximately 195 hectares (481 acres) of its 1,000 hectare (2,471 acres) property located in Juina, Mato Grosso, Brazil. A total of 895,000 cubic meters of gravels have been delineated to date. GEMM is projecting a potential ore resource (gravels) with an estimated value of up to US$200,000,000 from this sector.
