Progress report
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Dale Hoffman, President of JNR Resources Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to report that the Company's exploration program for uranium in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan is progressing very favorably. The project is operated by the Company, with the technical assistance of Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. (JNR Resources Inc.'s strategic alliance partner).
Black Lake
Drilling has been completed through the ice of Black Lake. Core from all holes has been split and sent to the Saskatchewan Research Council ("SRC") in Saskatoon for chemical and spectral analysis.
Cyprian-Newnham, drilling
An initial seven-hole drilling program is under way in the Newnham Lake area of the property with drilling planned for the Karen Lake area when weather conditions permit. All core is being split and sent to the SRC in Saskatoon for analysis. Results from the Black Lake and Cyprian areas will be compiled and released by month end.
West Bear, Poplar Point
Boulder sampling and clay alteration studies are presently being outlined for the West Bear and Poplar Point properties. Follow-up ground geophysics and drilling are also planned.
West Bear - These seven contiguous claims cover 23,954 ha, and adjoin the West Bear deposit, which contains about 450 tonnes uranium oxide (U3O8), at a grade of 0.37%. The claims cover the southwestern extension of the pelite horizon that hosts the deposit. The pelite horizon extends across the center of the claim block for a strike length of more than 20 km. During exploration in the mid-1970's, one diamond drill hole, collared east of Wedge Lake and about 7 km west of the West Bear deposit, intersected a radioactive zone in the pelite horizon. No further work was done.
Poplar Point - These three contiguous claims, totaling 14,970 ha, lie 25 km west of the Fond du Lac deposit (400 tonnes U3O8 at 0.2%). Mineralized boulder trains were identified on the property by previous exploration.
Hornby Basin
Although the Company believes the potential of the properties in the Hornby Basin of the Northwest Territories is excellent, due to the ongoing commitment in Saskatchewan the Company will not be continuing its option of properties in this area.
