JNR Resources To Drill Uranium Targets
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Dale Hoffman, President of JNR Resources Inc., is pleased to announce that all permits are in place and a diamond drilling program will begin immediately on the JNR / Kennecott strategic alliance Cigar North Project. This program, which will consist of three to six holes totaling up to 2000 m, was approved by the alliance at a recent Management Committee meeting. The drill holes will be targeted on geophysical features interpreted from recently completed airborne, ground EM and magnetic surveys, as well as from regional compilations. The Cigar North project adjoins Cameco's La Rocque Lake claim where intersections of up to 31.9 % U3O8 / 7.0 m have been reported.
Ground geophysical surveys on the alliance's Moore Lake project, which is located northeast of the Key Lake mine, are nearing completion and data interpretation is underway. Diamond drill testing of the better targets for this project is scheduled to begin in April. Previous geophysical work in this area identified numerous basement conductors, many of which are under-tested. Prior drilling commonly intersected intense alteration of both the sandstone and basement rocks, as well as weak uranium mineralization in a couple of holes.
Data compilation on the alliance's Lazy Edward Bay project, which is located along the southern margin of the Athabasca Basin west of the Key Lake mine, is also underway. A summer program including ground geophysical surveys and diamond drilling is being outlined.
