News Release
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Dale Hoffman, President of JNR Resources Inc.(the "Company"), reports that the follow up diamond drilling program on the JNR Resources Inc./Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. Moore Lake Joint Venture project has been temporarily suspended following the completion of drill hole ML00-10. This will allow for geochemical analysis of the drill core and for the completion of additional geophysical surveys to better define the main conductor, as well as a subparallel EM conductor located 100 to 350 metres to the south. The final two holes drilled as part of the Phase 1 project are summarized below.
Drill hole ML00-09 tested an interpreted east-west trending conductor located 160 metres to the north of the main trend and mineralized hole ML00-03 (0.442 per cent U3O8 over 9.2 metres). It intersected a moderately to weakly bleached sandstone column with no significant structural development or radiometric anomalies.
Drill hole ML00-10 was a 30 metre step out to the south of geochemically anomalous ML00-05. The results from #10 are very encouraging and will themselves require follow up drilling. This hole intersected a strongly altered and structurally disrupted sandstone column, overlying hydrothermally altered graphitic pelites, which locally returned elevated radiometrics.
The Company is very pleased with the results to date and will be in discussions with Joint Venture partner, Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc., over the next weeks to review and analyze the results and to finalize plans for Phase II and beyond. It should be noted that the number 1 target areas at Moore Lake can be worked year round.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available. If you have any questions or for more information, it is strongly recommended that you contact Dale W. Hoffman and Peter D. Herbert directly at the above noted numbers.
Dale W. Hoffman,
President
