Initiates Exploration on Black Lake Project via CDS
November 2, 2004
JNR Resources Inc. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that an
airborne magnetic and MEGATEM survey comprising approximately 1400 line
kilometers, will be underway on its 100 % owned Black Lake uranium property
within the next few days.
The project lands comprise almost 25,000 hectares and are located on
the north rim of the Athabasca Basin, approximately 20 kilometers southeast
of Stony Rapids.
The Black Lake property covers a significant strike length of the
Snowbird/Black Lake structure, a major crustal feature that represents the
strike extension of the mineralized Virgin River shear, located some 225
kilometers to the southwest. A review of assessment files indicates the
presence of a number of poorly tested EM conductors and unexplained boulder
geochemical anomalies. Although no economic uranium mineralization was
intersected in the few holes drilled, the geological and geochemical
results were very encouraging and warrant follow-up.
The Company has also recently staked an additional 17,500 hectares of
land in the Black Lake area, to cover the inferred strike extensions of the
features discussed above.
Plans for the 2005 winter geophysical and diamond drilling programs
are underway, and will be finalized once the results from the airborne
survey have been received and interpreted.
