Explor Resources Inc.: Drill Program Start Up
09:00 EST Tuesday, March 23, 2004
LA RONGE, SASKATCHEWAN--(CCNMatthews - Mar 23, 2004) - Explor Resources is pleased to announce that it has started its drill program on the Wedge Lake property in Saskatchewan. Untested during the last 20 years, the property will be subjected to a drill program aimed at:
- evaluating the mineralization encountered in hole H-4 (Zone T-6)
Drill hole H-4 : 14.1 g/T Au over 26.6 m (0.41 oz/t over 87').
Including: 52.4 g/T Au over 6.6 m (1.54 oz/t over 21.6') from 44.6
to 51.2 m.
- deepening drill hole H-7 (probably stopped prematurely)
Drill hole H-7 : 9.89 g/ Au over 5.4 m (0.29 oz/t) over 17.7').
- and testing the west and to depth extensions of Zone T-6.
More than 425 metres of drilling will be directed to the T-6 zone.
Furthermore, 250 m of additional diamond drilling will be completed in order to test the eastern and to depth extensions of mineralization intersected in drill hole 82-9, situated at the eastern extremity of the Twin Zone. Drill hole 82-9 intersected 23.1 g/T Au over 1 m (0.68 oz/t over 3.3') at a depth of 31 m and 8.5 g/T Au over 7 m (0.25 oz/t over 23') starting at 49 m.
As a reminder, the Twin Zone hosts an inferred mineral resource of 675,000 tonnes grading 15.1 g/T Au (0.15 oz/t) (refer to press release dated March 17, 2004)
