Claimstaker Purchases Rights to Waste/Energy
Co-Generation System
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--The Board of Directors of Claimstaker
Resources Ltd. (VSE symbol: CLN) is pleased to announce that it
has acquired the marketing rights for Japan, British Columbia,
Alberta and Yukon to a waste/energy system developed by EnEco
Systems Inc. of Vancouver. The system, a means of producing
energy from the controlled burning of waste (controlled Air
Oxidation (CAO), will enable the purchaser and Claimstaker to
participate in co-generation production of saleable electric
power.
Claimstaker has purchased these marketing rights for 250,000
shares of Claimstaker to be issued as follows: 25,000 shares
initial payment and an optional 50,000 shares each year for four
years, followed by a final optional 25,000 shares payment on the
fifth anniversary.
On Claimstaker's behalf, Jipangu Inc. of Tokyo, our joint venture
partners who are 50 percent owners of the Blackdome mine, are
currently investigating the opportunities for selling this
waste/energy system in Japan where co-generating systems account
for a major part of their waste disposal. Because EnEco is a
superior system in both cleanliness and efficiency, this Canadian
technology is attracting considerable interest in Japan.
Here in British Columbia also, Claimstaker is in discussion with a
prospective purchaser.
Although Claimstaker continues to focus on the exploration and
development of superior gold prospects, the directors consider
this system offers an opportunity to generate an additional cash
flow for the company and to create an electric utility division.
On behalf of the Board of Directors,
Richard Somerville, President and CEO
