Morgain Minerals Inc. - Exploring the Future … Today
Business Wire, Nov 27, 2000
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 2000
The Board of Directors of Morgain Minerals Inc.(CDNX:MGM.)(the Company) is pleased to announce that, as a result of a strong market demand for its Tronamex(TM) product by the local animal feed industry, the Company has started mining rock trona at its Adair Trona Project in the State of Sonora, Mexico, at an initial rate of 1400 tonnes per month or 16,800 tonnes per year.
The rock trona will be crushed and bagged at a facility located in the town of Puerto Penasco which is situated 30 kilometers south of the site. The product will be transported for distribution to Hermosillo and/or directly to local consumers. It is the Company's intent to continue expanding this mining operation and production levels to making Tronamex(TM) for the animal feed industry.
Reports on the Tronamex(TM) samples submitted for evaluation indicate that the product meets the requisite standard for animal feed use. Furthermore, the same report specifies that the Company's Tronamex(TM) can be processed to a very pure, white sodium bicarbonate that has many applications, including animal feed, detergents and chemicals in the human food industry (ex. baking soda) and several pharmaceutical products. Sodium bicarbonate commands a premium price of over US $360.00 per tonne.
The Company also reports the initiative of a feasibility study in early 2001 regarding the proposed construction of a strategically located wholly owned sodium bicarbonate plant.
The information contained herein was authorized for media release by Company President Raymond J. Mongeau and includes "forward looking statements" that express expectation of future events or results. Such statements are based upon future expectations rather than "historical facts".
