Diagem International Resources Corp. ("Diagem" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has recovered 112 diamonds from surface gravels and kimberlitic material located on the 1000 Property in Brazil. Thirty-five diamonds, including one stone of 4.2 carats, were recovered from a 25 cubic meter sample from surface gravels immediately overlying the ARP-1 kimberlite. A further 77 diamonds were recovered in a 100 cubic meter sample taken from solid kimberlite. This sample includes two stones greater than one carat having a combined weight of 3.7 carats. The average size of the recovered diamonds is 0.22 carats.
Due to the large quantity of the ilmenite observed in the tailings, the Company intends to reprocess these samples in order to establish the precise diamond content. The Company also intends to pursue a series of drill holes and bulk samples for the purpose of characterizing the diamond content and to determine the dimensions of the ARP-1 kimberlite.
The 1000 Property is held 51% by Diagem and 49% by its partner Juina Mining Corp.
