Diagem International Resource Corp. is pleased to provide the following update on its diamond projects in Mato Grosso State, Brazil.
The on-going alluvial bulk-testing program continues to recover diamonds from every bulk test pit sampled. The most recently completed tests have recovered a further 430 diamonds weighing 86 carats, with 10 diamonds over one carat, including two 5.5 carat stones. On site preparations for the larger capacity Pilot Plant have been completed and processing of gravels will commence today.
Pilot Plant and Property 213
Jose Aldo Ferraz, VP of Operations (Brazil) and Mining reports that preparation of the first site to be test mined using the Pilot Plant (25 cu.m. per hour capacity) has been completed. This includes the setting up of the local camp, dams for water supply, deforestation and removal of the soil cover, (to be used later for regeneration).
The first block of gravels to be processed using the Pilot Plant has been delineated. It extends over 17,300 square metres and represents an estimated 12,100cu.m. of gravel material. The capacity of this plant permits the processing of gravels on a much larger “test mining” scale, than has previously been conducted. As with the moveable plant we anticipate a gradual start up period during which the plant is fine-tuned and the operating team undergoes training.
Historically in this area, Garimpeiros (hand diggers) successfully recovered diamonds both up and down river, however they were prohibited from working gravels of this type due to the swampy characteristics of the overburden. A combination of dewatering, excavation and pumping is currently removing the overburden. The Pilot Plant commenced processing these gravels today.
The Moveable Plant continues to bulk-test an intact gravel deposit up stream of the aforementioned Pilot Plant site. The first test pit in this type of gravels has yielded the following result.

The bulk testing on Property 1000 is progressing well. After a number of small start-up problems, which have now been addressed, the samples are being processed at an increasing pace. Of the 15 test pits planned, 5 have been completed with a further four excavated awaiting processing. Results from the last three test pits completed are as follows:
