North Star Diamonds, Inc.: G10 Garnets Discovered on the Novograd Volyn Project, Ukraine
- BusinessWire
BELLINGHAM, Wash., Sep 10, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- North Star Diamonds, Inc. (NQB Pink Sheets: NSDM). North Star Diamonds, Inc. is pleased to report that the Company has discovered significant indicator minerals on its Novograd Volyn project, which are commonly associated with diamondiferous kimberite pipes.
Initial laboratory results have now been received on Cr-garnets from samples acquired from the Novograd Volyn project and have been classified as "G10 garnets". The "G10 garnets" are a very positive indicator mineral, commonly associated with diamondiferous kimberlite pipes that are found around the world. Previously, several garnets were discovered on the Novograd Volyn project during prior drilling programs and consisted of chrome content of more than 10%. This high level of chrome content has now been confirmed by the initial analysis from the most recently drilled core samples. Laboratory work is continuing on the core samples, more results are expected in two weeks.
In other news, geological mapping is being carried out on various portions of North Star's property, which has returned many samples that show positive indicator minerals. The Company plans to follow up on these new anomalies through a drilling program that is expected to begin in October.
North Star Diamonds is a rapidly-growing company focused on the discovery of commercial diamond deposits in Ukraine. North Star Diamonds has exceptional land holdings and a highly skilled management and technical team respected for breaking new ground in the highly competitive diamond industry. The Company's shares trade on the OTC Pink Sheets under the symbol NSDM.
