North Star President to go to Ukraine to analyze results
- PR Newswire
BELLINGHAM, WA, Nov 25, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via Comtex/ -- North Star Diamonds, Inc. (NQB Pink Sheets: NSDM) North Star is pleased to report that President Walter Stunder is leaving for Ukraine Thursday November 25, 2003.
Over the Summer/Fall of 2003 the Company completed an eight (8) hole drill program in the Zubkovich area located in the northeastern part of the Novograd Volyn Project. Core samples were shipped to the laboratory to be analyzed.
Mr. Stunder will meet with geologists and geophysicists to go over the lab results of the Summer/Fall 2003 drill program and to discuss the location of a mini-bulk sample, which had been planned earlier in the fall, but put on hold until the Company had received the results of the summer program.
Mr. Stunder plans to also outline the drilling program for the year 2004.
Extensive historical sampling, geophysical and seismic work has been completed on this project. The Zubkovich area is distinguished by a number of circular geologic structures and a halo of diamond indicator minerals found in the alluvium of the Uborth River and its tributaries. Samples taken from these anomalies at various depths, ranging from 15 to 40 meters were sent for laboratory analysis. In 4 holes, samples of re-deposited weathered mafic and ultramafic rock were found. In addition to diamond indicator minerals, 4 micro- diamonds (diamonds less than .1 mm in size) were found.
North Star Diamonds, Inc. is committed to a long-range plan for diamond exploration and feels that with the Superior Craton Project and the assets in Ukraine, North Star is focused on establishing the Company as a true world explorer in its search for diamonds.
