Drill Program Expanded On Star Kimberlite
Jonathan Challis, President, is pleased to announce that the diamond drill program currently underway on the Company’s 100 percent-owned Star Kimberlite will be expanded to include five additional NQ-size (1.875 inches in diameter) core drill holes as well as five PQ-size (3.35 inches in diameter) core drill holes.
The NQ drilling to date has focused on the central and southern areas of the Star Kimberlite and the additional holes will be used to test the northern extent of the kimberlite. The PQ holes will be used to obtain a larger sample size specifically for diamond recovery, and will be collared in the areas where the NQ drilling has intersected in excess of 100 metres of kimberlite.
The Star Kimberlite, located 60 kilometres east of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, is defined by a large magnetic anomaly measuring approximately 2.0 kilometers by 1.5 kilometers. To date, every hole drilled to test different areas within the anomaly has intersected kimberlite.
