Magnum Appoints Chief Geologist

MM.H (NEX-V) VANCOUVER, B.C. – Magnum Minerals Corp. (“Magnum”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mitchell L. Bernardi, M.Sc. Geo, to the role of Chief Geologist. Mr.Bernardi has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry and a proven exploration track record highlighted by the discovery of uranium, gold, zinc, and yttrium deposits and resources in having a total value in excess of US$800 million.
Mr. Bernardi’s uranium experience is extensive and includes his position as the Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator of three “Two-Degree NTMS Quadrangles” for the U.S. Departmentof Energy's National Uranium Resource Evaluation Program (“NURE”) while employed by Bendix Field Engineering Corp. (“Bendix”) from 1977 through 1982. Results of Mr. Bernardi’s field work during these studies led him to author several major Uranium Open-File Folio Assessment and Uranium Occurrence Reports, all of which were prepared for and published byBendix for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Mr. Bernardi’s educational background includes B.S. (graduated Magna Cum Laude) and M.S.degrees in Geology from Western Washington University. He also attended Ohio State University on a Ph.D. University Fellowship. In addition to Bendix, Mr. Bernardi has been employed by Amoco Minerals, Tenneco Minerals, Unocal-Molycorp, Inc., Meridian Minerals,Cyprus Metals Exploration and Echo Bay Mines.Mr. Bernardi is highly experienced in mineral prospect generation and evaluation and inplanning, budgeting, and conducting exploration drilling programs (both rotary and core)throughout the Western United States.
