Multiple Gold Zones Confirmed by Wescan and Claude Resources in Diamond Drilling at Jojay
SASKATOON, Aug. 2 /CNW/ - George Sanders, President of Wescan Goldfields
Inc. ("Wescan"), is pleased to report that the recently completed diamond
drill program on the Jojay property in the La Ronge district of Saskatchewan
has confirmed strong gold grades in several zones. Highlights of the drilling
include an intercept in JJ05-01 of the "Red Zone 1" of 10.52 g/t gold over a
true width of 4.84 metres and an intercept in JJ05-02 of the "Orange Zone" of
77.93 g/t over a true width of 0.77 metres.
Seven holes were drilled for a total of 1218.7 metres. The purpose of the
program was to test the strike extension and continuity of previously
indicated mineralization where gaps in data existed both down dip and down
plunge as well as to confirm the occurrence of multiple zones. The program was
successful in adding to the confidence level of the previously indicated zones
herein named "Orange, Blue, Purple and Red" by previous operators, as well as
locating additional unnamed zones which warrant further investigation. The Red
Zone is the most significant of the previously indicated zones with a strike
length of 250 metres and a down plunge extent of 300 metres and open in both
directions. All significant drill intercepts are summarized in the table
below.
