United Carina Resources Corp. And Consolidated Pine
Channel Gold Corp. Announce Diamond Property Evaluation
Underway
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Dale W. Hoffman, President of United
Carina Resources Corp. and Consolidated Pine Channel Gold Corp.
(the "Companies" is pleased to report that the Companies are
proceeding with the evaluation of approximately 100,000 acres of
recently acquired property in the Saskatchewan diamond belt, in
and around the Fort a la Corne kimberlite field, near Prince
Albert, Saskatchewan. Additional ground is also being acquired in
this area, which contains the largest known kimberlite field in
the world.
The properties were staked after a lengthy review of both
published and unpublished historical work. Reprocessing and
filtering of airborne and ground magnetic data is underway, with
the intent being to begin ground checking targets later this
winter, in preparation for a drilling program in late spring /
early summer.
Over 70 diamondiferous kimberlite pipes have been identified in
this part of central Saskatchewan. Furthermore, numerous
aeromagnetic anomalies which could be attributed to kimberlites
have yet to be fully evaluated. The Companies feel that the
Phanerozoic basin of Saskatchewan, as well as some exposed parts
of the Canadian Shield, have an excellent potential to host
economically exploitable diamond deposits, and will aggressively
pursue these and other opportunities as they become available.
