United Carina Resources and Consolidated Pine Channel
Gold: Geophysical Programs Underway
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Dale W. Hoffman, President of United
Carina Resources Corp. ("Carina" and Consolidated Pine Channel
Gold Corp. ("Pine Channel" (the "Companies" is pleased to
report that airborne and ground geophysical programs are underway
on the Companies' properties in the Saskatchewan diamond belt, in
and around the Fort a la Corne kimberlite field, near Prince
Albert, Saskatchewan.
This work includes a high resolution aeromagnetic survey on nine
separate blocks of ground comprising some 60,000 acres, and a
detailed gravity survey on a 2,800 acre property located just
north of Smeaton, Saskatchewan. The latter occurs north of the
Fort a la Corne kimberlites and along the same northwest
structural trend as the Snowden kimberlite cluster. Targets
identified by these programs will be drill-tested in the fall.
Over 70 diamondiferous kimberlite pipes have been identified in
the Prince Albert area and a number of geophysical features which
could be attributed to kimberlites have yet to be fully evaluated.
The Companies feel that there is an excellent potential of
identifying economically viable diamond deposits in this part of
central Saskatchewan, and will continue to aggressively pursue the
same.
