United Carina Resources Corp.: President Appointed

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--The board of directors of United
Carina Resources Corp. (the "Company" would like to announce the
following management changes.

Mr. Richard G. Walker, currently a director of the Company, has
now been appointed as President. Mr. Walker has many years of
experience in the mining and mineral exploration industries. He
is past President of the Company, and has served as a director
since 1989. He is also the President of both Shane Resources Ltd.
and Masuparia Gold Corporation.

Mr. Richard T. Kusmirski, M.Sc., P. Geo. has been appointed to the
Company's board of directors. Mr. Kusmirski has over 20 years of
exploration experience in North America and overseas and for the
past two years has managed the Company's western Canada based
exploration projects. Mr. Kusmirski is also a director and the
President of JNR Resources Inc..

Mr. T. Andrew Parker will continue to serve the Company as
Corporate Secretary and as a director.
