11/17/2004 : Fast, smooth, competitive, and respected by fellow drivers, Lee Hatch has arguably had the best season in the eight year history of the Speed Truck Challenge
UPLAND, California -- Fast, smooth, competitive, and respected by fellow drivers, Lee Hatch has arguably had the best season in the eight year history of the Speed Truck Challenge.
The driver of the No. 91 BHRM Motorsports/CMKXtreme.com/ Ford Ranger has set new standards for the ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series. Hatch has accomplished many “first” in the 2004 season. He is the first driver to win back-to-back championships, the first to score 1,000 championship points in a season, the first to win 12 races in a season, the first to win nine consecutive races in a season and the first to win over $30,000 in purse and points money in a season.
“It has been a dream season,” said Hatch. “It’s been a team effort with everyone giving their all every race. With the help of our sponsors, we were able to step up our program a lot this year. I want to thank my crew chief Jace Thomas and my cousin Robert Burleson (crew member) for all their hard work and dedication to our team. My dad (team owner/spotter) is the one who made this team possible and I can’t thank him enough for all his support. I want to give special thanks to Rich of RG Motorsports who has always been there to help us. I want to thank my primary sponsor CMKXtreme.com for coming on board this year when we needed funding the most. To all my other sponsors Wentzell Equipment Rental, Faust Printing, Parker Pumper and Speedway Transmissions, thank you for being a part of the No. 91 team and helping us accomplish the success that we did. I can’t forget to thank, my mom, sister, niece and my fiancée Gina for being there every race and being a part of the team.”
Hatch and the BHRM Motorsports team will be announcing their plans for 2005 season soon.
“I’m looking forward to the 2005 season,” said Hatch “The ASA Speed Truck Series is something we are strongly looking at again for next year.”
The next gathering for ASA Speed Truck teams will be the series award banquet held on January 29, 2005 at the Embassy Suites in Covina, Calif.
