Jim Dunn Racing proud to welcome the support of Cabo Wabo Tequila beginning in Denver
DENVER, pre-race: The legendary Jim Dunn Racing team has welcomed many corporations and companies to the world of professional drag racing during their fifty-plus years in sport. Now team patriarch, Big Jim Dunn, has added another unique associate sponsor, Cabo Wabo Tequila, which is sure to create plenty of attention in the Funny Car pit area.
Cabo Wabo Tequila will be featured on the bright red Got CMKX?/Lucas Oil Monte Carlo Funny Car driven by Tony Bartone beginning at the 26th annual Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway, July 15-17.
Founded in 1990 by rock legend Sammy Hagar, Cabo Wabo embodies Sammie's unique lifestyle of beach by day, party by night, and his love of Mexican culture with a line of premium, authentic Mexican tequilas. Hagar also operates two world famous Cabo Wabo Cantinas.
The famous Cabo Wabo Tequila is created from 100% Blue Weber Agave and hand crafted traditionally with no fillers or additives. Produced and bottle in Mexico, it was first imported in 1998 and quickly gained a loyal following among fans, tequila lovers and visitors to the Cabo Wabo Cantina.
The Cabo Wabo Cantina is a nightclub and restaurant that provides live rock and roll entertainment, and features two locations. One is in Cabo San Lucas, Baja, Mexico and one located in Harvey's Resort Casino in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Cabo Wabo president, Barry Augus, is thrilled over the new association with Jim Dunn Racing. "We have been exploring a relationship with Jim Dunn Racing for some time now," explained Augus. "NHRA fans are a great fit for Cabo Wabo and we are thrilled to be building a partnership with such a prestigious team owned and inspired by the legendary Jim Dunn."
Dunn added, "We are very happy to have the support of Cabo Wabo Tequila and we're looking forward to working with them to create plenty of exposure for their excellent product. We look forward to many Cabo Wabo Tequila-fueled victory celebrations in the future."
The Redrocker himself, world famous musician Sammy Hager responded, "This is great, Tony Bartone certainly doesn't know how to drive 55!"
