Anglo Initiates Scoping Study (ccnm)
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 18, 2006) - Anglo Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:ALM) is pleased to announce that it has retained Wardrop Engineering Inc. ("Wardrop") to do a "Scoping Study" in connection with proposed development of Anglo's Jansen Lake potash project. The purpose of the Scoping Study is to develop a Class 5 Estimate that follows the guidelines of the AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) to provide an indication of the probable costs of construction and commissioning a 2.0 million tonne/year potash fertilizer facility. The Scoping Study will address matters relating to the mine plan, production and service shafts and hoists, mill and tailings management system, infrastructure (including buildings, roads, rail, water, power, etc.), identification of major risks and environmental permitting. It is anticipated that the Scoping Study will be completed in late March or early April of 2006.
