VANCOUVER, Jan. 19 /CNW/ - Golden Arch Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce the results from diamond drill hole No. MP05-06, drilled in the Amado Area on the 100% owned Mildred Peak gold/silver/copper property in Pima County, Arizona.
This hole was a vertical hole drilled approximately 50 meters east of the Rachel Vein (Trench 20), targeting the down-dip extension of the Rachel Vein. The surface sampling in this trench, on very silicified meta-conglomerate and quartz stringers returned an assay of 5.25 gm/mt (0.153 opt) gold over a trench width of 16 meters (52.5 ft.) (apparent true thickness of 6 meters (16.8 ft.))
The drill hole (MP05-06) intersected a 4.15 meter (13.6 ft.) iron stained, sericitized quartz vein in the middle of a 15.4 meter (43.2 ft.) wide zone of intensely altered, silicified meta-conglomerate. The quartz vein (apparent true thickness of 3 meters (10 ft.)) averaged 4.01 gm/mt gold (0.117opt) and 19.9 gm/mt silver (0.58 opt). (See the attached cross-section)
After breaking for the holidays, the drill crew is currently moving the drill back into the Amado/Rachel area to continue to drill additional holes to explore and sample the Rachel Vein. Drilling is expected to begin within a week.
