January 12, 2005 - JNR Resources Inc. (TSX.V: JNN) (the "Company") is
pleased to announce that it has expanded its technical team working on
uranium exploration and made the following appointments.
David Billard has been appointed as Exploration Manager. Mr. Billard
is a professional geologist who has been actively involved in the field
of mineral exploration for over 25 years. Since 1999, he has been a
consulting geologist specializing in uranium exploration in the
Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan and was directly involved in the
discovery of the Maverick Zone, on the company's Moore Lake uranium
Joint Venture. Prior to this, he was employed by Cameco Corporation
for over 12 years in western Canada and the western United States.
Ken Wasyliuk, M.Sc., has been appointed as Chief Geochemist. Mr.
Wasyliuk is a professional geologist who has been actively involved in
exploration for base and precious metals, industrial minerals, diamonds
and uranium for over 20 years. For the past 16 years he was employed
by Cameco Corporation, where he became an expert on geochemical and
clay alteration patterns associated with uranium deposits, specifically
those in the Athabasca Basin.
The Company further announces grants of incentive stock options to
certain of its employees and consultants to purchase up to 250,000
common shares of the Company at a price of $1.09 per share, exercisable
for a period of five years.
