Wednesday July 26, 6:00 am ET
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 26, 2006) - Magnum Uranium Corp. ("Magnum") (TSX VENTURE:MM - News) is pleased to announce that Dr. John Carden, a Director of Magnum, and Mr. Mitch Bernardi, Vice President of Exploration of Magnum, have agreed to enter into geological consulting contracts for a further one year period effective August 1, 2006. Mr. Craig Lindsay, President & CEO of Magnum, stated: "Dr. Carden and Mr. Bernardi have led our exploration team since inception, and their agreement to continue with us confirms their commitment to achieving the goals we have set for Magnum. Securing this commitment is particularly important given both the acute lack of uranium expertise available in the market today and Dr. Carden and Mr. Bernardi's strong understanding and experience with uranium exploration and development in the United States."

As part of these agreements, Dr. Carden and Mr. Bernardi will each be awarded 250,000 common share stock options having a strike price of $0.75 per common share. Additionally, Mr. Bob Nowell, CFO of Magnum, has been awarded 50,000 common share stock options having a strike price of $0.75 per common share. The options are subject to the receipt of all necessary approvals, including that of the TSX Venture Exchange, and, in respect of Dr. Carden and Mr. Bernardi, the execution of their underlying consulting contracts.
