Drilling Program Commences
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Rick Kusmirski, President of JNR Resources Inc. ("JNR"), reports that a diamond drilling program is underway on the JNR Resources / Kennecott Canada joint venture Lazy Edward Bay project. This program will consist of approximately 8 holes, totaling some 1300 to 1500 metres, and will focus on targets identified on the western claims by the recently completed ground EM, magnetic and gravity surveys.
Prior drilling in this area, by other companies, was broadly spaced and left a number of untested and/or poorly tested conductors. Furthermore, several holes that returned anomalous geochemical and geological results were never followed up.
The ground geophysical programs on the Moore Lake project are nearing completion. Data interpretation is underway. Diamond drilling will follow and should be underway within the week. The exploration programs on Moore Lake are being funded entirely by Kennecott, who gave notice to JNR last fall of their intent to increase their interest in this project to 65 per cent. They can do so by funding the next $10 Million in exploration expenditures. Results from the drill programs will be released as they become available.
