Mr. Adolf Petancic reports:
Dentonia, Shane and Williams Creek, jointly operating under the name of NorthernEra Diamonds, provides the following update on the current phase of its exploration program in East Kalimantan, Island of Borneo, Indonesia, which has been budgeted at US$260,000. This exploration program consists of follow-up work in the Tasan catchment area and helicopter reconnaissance of the remainder of the COW block to the north and east of the Tasan River. A base camp has been established at Datah Dawai along the Mahakam River (accessible by boat) and helicopter pads have been constructed at the confluence of Jayaalam and Tasan rivers, and Kitaq and Tasan rivers. A detailed survey has been commenced between the Jayaalam River, just south of the COW boundary (1 degree latitude N) and the Kitaq River, 3km north of the boundary.
Some samples of note collected along the Kitaq River are:
ROCK SELECT-1519 TAS
11.7 g/t gold, 7.8 g/t silver, not analyzed for antimony, mercury; From brecciated lens associated with sheared contact of andesite intrusive and hornfelsed fine grained marine sediments; Highly clay-limonite altered/weathered with clasts of dark, hard rock (silicified/hornfelsed sediment).
ROCK GRAB-0029-TAS
9.5 g/t gold, 11.8 g/t silver, 2548 ppm arsenic, 90.7 ppm antimony; As above.
ROCK FLOAT-0046-TAS
5.6 g/t gold, 639 arsenic, 14.6 ppm antimony, 0.152 ppm antimony; Fractured/brecciated hornfelsed adjacent to sheared/brecciated contact with andesite intrusive; Crackle to mosaic breccia of hornfelsed sediment with interclast domains of intergrown quartz plus pyrite plus clay plus possible sulphate minerals; pyrite oxidized to limonite and possible sulphate minerals.
Out of approximately 150 samples collected in the Tasan catchment area, 53 samples assayed 0.5 g/t gold or better.
Depositional texture observed at the Tasan catchment area is indicative of hydrothermal mineralization. This conclusion is confirmed by the geochemical signature of the rock samples obtained, all being anomalous in gold, arsenic, antimony and mercury. WEST KALIMANTAN 2 COW APPLICATION (139,110 ha) NorthernEra's ground straddles a belt of Sintang intrusives, running northwest/southeast, highlighted by gravity lineament which is intersected at Gunung Pandung by a northeast/southwest gravity lineament.
It appears that most or all of the gold occurrences in Kalimantan are associated with Sintang intrusives. Two prospects have now been identified as warranting immediate follow-up work, namely, Gunung Pandung, where a gold bearing tourmaline breccia/vein system has been found, and at S Saga, where a potential gold/base metal porphyry system has been identified.
FUTURE PLANS:
At conclusion of the current phase of NorthernEra's exploration program, targets will be prioritized, to be followed by detailed exploration and if warranted, by drilling.
