NEWS RELEASE
TRADING SYMBOL: SEI.V FEBRUARY 26, 1998
The Company is pleased to report that drilling has commenced on its Brownell Lake, Saskatchewan property. A minimum of 1000 metres will be drilled with the objective of testing the volcanic massive sulphide target at depth. Previous drilling has traced the zone for a length of 3000 metres, but no holes were drilled deeper than 100 metres from surface. Of the 22 holes drilled on the zone, only 11 were assayed for zinc, and none for precious metals. Some of the unassayed holes contained sphalerite (zinc sulphide) of 10% to 20%. Assays of zinc ran as high as 6.47%, with copper values up to 4.01%.
All holes from the current program will be assayed for copper, zinc, silver and gold. Assays will be released when available, near the middle of March.
ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SHANE RESOURCES LTD.
