Claimstaker Acquires The Warrior Extension Gold Prospect
in Nevada
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--The Board of Directors of Claimstaker
Resources Ltd. (CDNX symbol - CLN) is pleased to announce that it
has signed a letter agreement with Nu-Apex Energy Corp, the holder
of 20 mining claims located in Nye County, Nevada. Under the
terms of the option agreement, Nu-Apex Energy Corp agrees to sell
100% of the property to Claimstaker for an initial payment of
100,000 shares of the common stock of Claimstaker Resources Ltd.
and $5,000, and three optional semi-annual payments as follows:
$5,000 within six months, $5,000 within twelve months and $5,000
within eighteen months for a total cash cost of $20,000 to
Claimstaker. Furthermore, to maintain its interest, Claimstaker
must make work expenditures totalling $30,000, which must be spent
on exploration on the property before December 31, 2000. Nu-Apex
Energy and Roger Hall will retain a 2% Net Smelter Return Royalty,
but Claimstaker has the right at any time to purchase 0.5% from
Nu-Apex and 0.5% from Roger Hall for $500,000 for each 0.5%.
The Warrior Extension gold property lies on the highly mineralized
Walker Lane Structural Zone in Southwestern Nevada. The Paradise
and Santa Fe mines are adjacent along this trend. A strong gold,
arsenic, antimony anomaly covers the length of the property.
The Warrior Extension claims are a significant acquisition in an
area of strong structural extension in the centre of one of the
most important gold producing areas in the world.
The Company has also granted non-assignable, non-transferable
incentive stock options in respect to a total of 100,000 shares in
the Company to a director. The options are exercisable at $0.22
for two years, being the average closing price for the past two
weeks of the Company's shares on the Vancouver Stock Exchange (as
of November 29, 1999, known as the Canadian Venture Exchange).
The above are subject to regulatory approval.
On behalf of the Board of Directors,
Richard Somerville, President and CEO
