With all the excitement about CMKX's new board member, I am struck with questions. Who will they choose for President? Who else is going to explode onto the scene? Will they start giving us information about the drilling results immediately? Does the stock run to some pre-determined value before the filing? I know that none of us have the answers to these questions, but am interested in discussing your speculations.

They stated in the PR that they want someone grounded in mining, precious metals and finances.
Maybe one of the boys who started Ekati? I don't think we'll see news on the filing until the President is chosen either... but that announcement could come very fast now... remember when they announced the search for a lawyer and then who the lawyer was almost on top of each other? I think its possible something similar might be in the works now.

Hello,
IMHO with this guy listed on our board,.. And picking someone he feels is great for the job puts this in a whole new class.
If Urban were to choose (and I am sure he could choose Well) it would be someone I think of a lower status on the totem pole.
Nothing against Urban because he has done a great job thus far, but he doesn't have the connections that this guy has. I have seen and found alot of Urban connections and with the help and power of this guy IMHO we could see someone of the status of a Fipke or of equal caliber.
The only thing I can see stopping this from happening is the fact that Fipke is busy with his own projects. He recently started in Greenland,.. So unless he is connected in another way (possibly one of the companies hinted at in the PR as well: "In the company's agenda for 2005, it has become paramount to bring in individuals and companies that can make significant contributions to the company. As the company begins to accomplish short-term goals, we decided to bring in an individual who can manifest an atmosphere for success. Mr. Maheu is that man," )
To me I think we will all guess and all hint at what we feel is the deals,... (Personally I think almost all companies listed on my site will be apart of this in way fashion or another- including Shore Gold) but none of us will know for sure. This PR showed us that without a doubt Urban is working towards his dreams and many of ours,.. And is always a step ahead of everyone's thinking... no one I know saw this coming and rightfully so.
If this company is to succeed in it's endeavors it needs to remain on the silent side giving the information as it has (even though we the shareholders do not like it, it is needed to complete the dream) and remain to shock and amaze everyday.
This PR should be the PR to show people Urban does mean business,.. That hiring roger glen was not his only trick,.. and that he has more up his sleeve.
Short-term goals for company IMHO- announce more board members and finalize the searches for a suitable president... Make that file happen and start the company on the right track.
Medium term goals- Buy up and into the largest web of companies ever seen,.. Paying dividends to Shareholders for years to come.
Long term goals- mine and make us all stinking rich.
Thanks and of course this is all IMHO and only should be treated as such.

As I posted on the 32 board, I have been thinking that this appointment to the BOD has more importance than we have been seeing. You don't bring on the CEO of General Motors if your company builds Tonka trucks. Each new name seems to be larger than the last.
I do believe that Urban is intending to build a mining empire. I think he intends to roll up all our JV partners, as well as others we haven't been made aware of, into one large, powerful, extremely stable conglomerate that can stand for generations. This appointment is only another in a lengthy series of steps toward that goal.
I would not be suprised to see that most of the companies with PR's listed here are part of this roll-up. In the end, I can see no downside to my investment in CMKX; only upside potential.
All in my humble opinion only.
