Diagem announces that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Diagnos Inc. (ADK:TSXV), the owner of proprietary software (the ''Technology') used in the field of Data Mining and which provides sophisticated and 'intelligent' interpretation of databases.
Such technology has a very promising application in the field of mineral exploration. Using diamond exploration as an example, it can be applied to the interpretation of digital databases generated by geophysical surveys, satellite imagery, geochemical analysis, and micro/macro diamond counts, etc.
The power of the Technology is its seeming ability to continuously learn, hence 'intelligent'. It can process, simultaneously and objectively, an almost limitless number of variables in search of the interrelationships thereof that formulate a model or 'fingerprint'of a successful target (i.e. a kimberlite pipe). This fingerprint is then used to interrogate a relevant database to identify similar targets and their relative degree of fit to the fingerprint; the better the fit, the higher the probability of a successful target.
Such 'intelligent' software is already at work in the oil and gas industry, providing a competitive advantage to its users.
The cost of the license is $100,000 for the territories of Canada and Brazil. The license will give the Company immediate access to the Technology in order to apply it to data generated from its Brazilian properties. In addition, Diagem has a 120 day option to secure the exclusive distributorship for the Technology for both Brazil and Canada for application in the natural resource sector other than oil and gas.
DIAGEM is a diamond exploration company with projects in Brazil. The Company also has interests in Canada through its 40% equity position in KWG Resources Inc.(KWG :TSXV), and is currently funding exploration drill programs, in Northern Ontario, on both kimberlite prospects and a volcanogenic massive sulphide ('VMS') discovery.
