Preliminary License issued for Mining Concession on Property 214
Following the approval of the Company's Environmental Diagnostic Study, reported May 4, 2004, FEMA (State Environmental Agency) has granted the Company its first ever Preliminary License on Property 214, Juina Diamond Province, Mato Gross State, Brazil. This license is the first of a sequence of licenses to be issued now that the major criteria for an application for a Mining Concession have been satisfied.
Property 214 contains four diamondiferous kimberlite Pipes, three of which lie at the headwaters of the Chicoria Creek, within a few hundred metres of the Chicoria Creek Resource Block #1, located on the adjacent Property 213. The extensive mapping and detailed exploration work done so far on Property 213 and 214 indicate abundantly that the source of the diamonds recovered by the Experimental Mining on Chicoria Creek, including a gem quality diamond weighing 25 carat, comes from one or more of these Kimberlite Pipes.
Corporate Matters.
The Company has granted 250,000 options to purchase common shares in the Company, to each of its three most recently appointed Directors. In addition, 1,050,000 options to purchase common shares have been granted to Consultants, Management and Employees and a total of 200,000 options have been granted to the other Directors. All options have an exercise price of $0.24 and an exercise period of five years.
