NSDM reports on its diamond marketing and exploration program

BELLINGHAM, WA, Aug 12, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- North Star Diamonds, Inc. (NQB Pink Sheets: NSDM) announces the off-line diamond marketing program to shareholders and potential shareholders has generated a very good response. Numerous calls and emails were received from interested diamond buyers.
Enquiries for an estimated $150,000.00 of potential business were shown since the announcement with actual orders for two rings of over $10,000.00 each were placed.
Walter Stunder and Alec Peck are flying to New York on August 16th to sign additional contracts in the area of order fulfillment, further web design and e-commerce facilitation, as well as to discuss further close co-operation in promoting the exclusive North Star line of jewelry with a national advertising campaign to familiarize the jewelry buying public with the North Star brand.
The NSDM website is being updated and the e-commerce site is being constructed. With the present level of activity, NSDM should meet all projected sales volume and sales targets.
Work on Phase 3 and Phase 4 on the Manitoba Exploration projects is proceeding and more geophysical work will soon be undertaken for the fall drilling program.
The Ukraine diamond exploration program is on hold until the political situation is clearer. The management of NSDM is of the opinion that it would not be prudent to spend more money on the diamond exploration program until a more defined agreement for exploration can be reached.
