North Star Diamonds Inc.'s Joint Venture Negotiation

BELLINGHAM, WA, Mar 01, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- North Star Diamonds, Inc. (NQB Pink Sheets: NSDM) is in the final negotiation stage with a joint venture partner to develop Phase 3, Pelican Rapids (Big Blue) which is 235 miles northwest of Winnipeg, and Phase 4, Whitemouth Lake which is 53 miles southeast of Winnipeg. The negotiations were delayed by the illness of the president of the joint venture partner. The financing is in place subject to regulatory approval. This will allow NSDM to proceed with the drilling program for 2005.
Attracting joint venture partners is part of NSDM's strategy to add value to its numerous properties while minimizing share dilution to its shareholders. NSDM is actively pursuing additional joint venture property option partners.
