KIMBERLITE target ACQUIRED
Gary Billingsley, President, reports that the Company, through its subsidiary Great Western Diamonds Corp., has staked 7 new claims totaling approximately 6,200 acres in the Candle Lake/Fort a la Corne area of central Saskatchewan.
The claims cover an untested kimberlite target identified through the investigation and interpretation of geophysical data by the Saskatchewan Geological Survey. The kimberlite target is located between the northern extent of the Fort a la Corne kimberlite clusters and the Company's Pipe 28-a diamond-bearing kimberlite located at the southern end of the Company's Candle Lake claims.
Ground geophysics and, if warranted, drilling of the target are planned for this winter. The Company's diamond property portfolio also includes Pipe 29/30-a diamond-bearing kimberlite located north of Pipe 28. Compilation of existing public data by the Saskatchewan Geological Survey of kimberlite indicator geochemistry and diamond counts ranks both Pipe 28 and Pipe 29/30 consistently among the best kimberlite bodies in the province in terms of diamond potential.
