Petro Plus Inc.—Drilling Results— Devil's Lake Property, La Ronge, Saskatchewan Business Wire, May 10, 1996
EDMONTON, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1996--Petro Plus Inc. announces that most of the assays have been received from samples of drill core from their 100 percent owned Devil's Lake Property near La Ronge, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Visible gold was found in five of the holes, and these occurrences outline zones traceable from hole to hole.
Metallic (total) assays were done on most of the samples. While gold content of the coarse fractions gave values up to 6.17 oz/ton, overall assays had maximum values up to 0.441 oz/ton over 2.0 meters widths.
In common with many other gold deposits mined to date in Saskatchewan, the occurrences are narrow, and because of the coarse gold, grade is erratic. In an effort to get more consistent grades, some samples will be checked using other analytical methods. In addition, a bulk-sampling program is being considered.
To date Petro Plus has investigated only 500 meters of a zone indicated to be 3000 meters long. The zone is defined by a number of anomalous gold values (including grab samples up to 0.168 oz./ton) from samples collected along strike for 2500 meters southwest of the present drilling.
Detailed geophysics and further sampling will be conducted to obtain the necessary information to generate additional drill targets along the extension of the zones. -0- The Alberta Stock Exchange has neither approved or disapproved of the information contained herein.
