October 5, 2005 – United Carina Resources Corp. (TSX Venture - UCA). United Carina has been informed by its joint-venture partner, Claude Resources Inc., that drilling has begun on a property 3 km northeast of Claude’s Seabee gold mine in Northern Saskatchewan.
The program is designed to test the dip and strike extensions of shear structures previously encountered in a drill program conducted in 2003. Some of the 2003 drill holes encountered shear structures with quartz veins (up to 20 metres of true width) and associated sulphides. Elevated gold values, up to 20.87 grams per tonne over 0.80 metre core length, were obtained from 2003 drilling.
The current drilling program will consist of 1300 metres of core drilling to be followed by further drilling in the coming winter.
The property is owned 50/50 by the partners who are contributing equally to the exploration costs,with Claude Resources Inc. being the operator.
