VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 1996--CONS. PINE CHANNEL (VSE:KPG) Mr. Dale W. Hoffman, President of Consolidated Pine Channel Gold Corp. (the "Company") is pleased to report that geophysical evaluation has now been completed of claim S- 101388, Northern Mining District, Saskatchewan.
S-101388 lies on the break which is believed to be the controlling structure of the cluster of kimberlite pipes at Fort a la Corne, where Monopros, Uranertz, Cameco and Kensington are at present completing bulk samples on various targets. Also, the same structure runs through the Candle Lake joint venture.
Modelling of closely spaced ground geophysics, done by Monopros Ltd., suggests that this signature has the potential to represent a two-kimberlite pipe, which could be as shallow as 250 feet. With a potential kimberlite depth of 500+ feet over an area that could produce 250+ million tons of kimberlite, if drilling proves successful.
Consolidated Pine Channel, as operator, has informed our joint venture partner Canadian Entech Research Corp. (KPG: 58.2 percent - CEJ: 41.8 percent) that a $250,000 summer drill program is being outlined. If Canadian Entech does not wish to participate, Consolidated Pine Channel will either fund the project alone, or will seek a further joint venture partner.
Further information will be released as it becomes available. -0-
