Star Uranium Corp.: News Release SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, Oct 10, 2006 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) -- (CCN Mathews) Star Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SUV). The Company is pleased to announce that a drilling rig is being mobilized to the Company's 50% owned Anglo-Rouyn property near La Ronge, Saskatchewan. The drill program will be open ended with a minimum of 8 holes to be drilled. The property is situated two kilometers along strike from a former producing copper-gold mine. Based on rock sample assay results and geophysical surveys, a geological report on the property in 2003 concluded that excellent potential exists for the discovery of an economic orebody on the Anglo-Rouyn property. Copper and gold prices have increased significantly since 2003, enhancing the economics of this project quite favourably. Surface samples have yielded assays of up to 4.83 grams per tonne of gold and 3.09% copper. Preparation of drilling pads has been completed and drilling will begin shortly.
