Star Uranium Corp.-Shore Gold Inc. Appeal Date Set (ccnm)
SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Jan. 4, 2008) - Star Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SUV). The Company has been advised by the Registrar of the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal that the appeal taken by Shore Gold Inc. (SGF.T) from the decision of the Saskatchewan Court of Queen's Bench granting the Company and United Uranium Corp. the right to record Mineral Dispositions in the Fort a la Corne area will be heard by the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal on Monday February 11, 2008 at 10am at the courthouse in Regina, Saskatchewan.
In the March 1, 2007 Queen's Bench judgment, Mr. Justice Barclay ruled in favor of the Company and United Uranium Corp. deciding that they were entitled, in priority to Shore Gold Inc., to register mineral claims to 25 blocks of land in the Fort a la Corne area. In total, the claims cover 33,196 hectares. Shore Gold Inc. appealed the ruling which has halted any exploration on the claims.
These claims are owned 50/50 by the Company and United Uranium Corp.
The courthouse in Regina is located at 2425 Victoria Avenue.
