Jarvis Entertainment Group Acquires Controlling Interest in Cyber Mark International; John Jarvis Assumes Position as Chairman and CEO
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 2001
Internet technology and entertainment holding company Jarvis Entertainment Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets: JRVE) has acquired a controlling interest in Cyber Mark International (OTC: CMKI), a developer and manufacturer of proprietary Virtual Reality entertainment software and games.
John Jarvis, President and CEO of JRVE, assumes the position of Chairman and CEO of Cyber Mark International, with a President to be named at a future date. Sam Singal will assume a consulting position with the company and remain a shareholder. Corporate offices and manufacturing facilities of Cyber Mark International will move from Canada to Houston, Texas.
"This enhances our vision for on site entertainment and dovetails seamlessly with our offering. Previously, undercapitalization was the greatest barrier for CMKI. Now, CMKI's technology, in combination with our asset base, will allow us to execute their business plan," said John Jarvis. "The benefits of virtual reality have neither been fully realized nor envisioned; we are excited to have the opportunity to develop and promote this product both commercially and privately to the masses. I will work closely with Sam Singal to assure a smooth transition."
While entertainment currently provides the best audience for virtual reality, JRVE's short term development and marketing plans include military training simulations and learning activity games for mentally challenged individuals.
Cyber Mark International, a leader in the development and manufacture of virtual reality entertainment, is best known for its "Virtual Speedway300" and "Cobra" virtual reality gaming products. Their competitive advantage is derived from proprietary, leading edge Virtual Reality software and competitively priced products.
Based in Houston, Texas, Jarvis Entertainment Group, Inc. is an internet technology and entertainment holding company with up to 142 employees, including seasonal, part time, and network administrative staff to support the entertainment, virtual reality, network and information technology complex.
