NEWS RELEASE
Mildred Peak Gold Silver Copper Property - Arizona
New Assays on Emmit Elgin Area
July 12, 2005 – Golden Arch Resources Ltd. (TSX Venture: GAI)
A preliminary exploration program has been completed on a new area of copper, silver, gold mineralization in the Emmit - Elgin Area located on the west side of our Mildred Peak Property, in Pima County, Arizona, about 80 miles southwest of Tucson, Arizona.
Eighteen chip samples have been taken in this area. Early gold prospectors (estimated from the 1920’s or 1930’s) left two old caved workings on quartz veins called the Emmit and the Elgin. The mineralization (copper, silver, and gold) covers an area of outcropping, mineralized, sheeted-quartz vein structures, in a porphyritic, dioritic rock of probable Late Cretaceous to Early Tertiary age.
The assay results in the eighteen samples ranged as follows:
LOW
HIGH
COPPER
0.37%
2.00%
SILVER
15.3gm Ag/MT* or 0.446 oz Ag/t
119.0 gm Ag/MT or 3.471 oz Ag/t
GOLD
29 ppb or 0.009 oz Au/t
1.044 gm Au/MT** or 0.031 oz Au /t
* Ag/MT = grams Ag per metric tonne
** Au/MT = grams Au per metric tonne
The average grade of all eighteen samples was as follows:
AVERAGE
COPPER
0.97% Cu
SILVER
56.4g Ag/MT or 1.64 oz Ag/t
GOLD
0.331g Au/MT or 0.01 oz Au/t
MOLYBDENUM
0.087% Mo
The surface exposed mineralization covers an area of at least 20 meters by 50 meters, but geological mapping and an airborne magnetic survey suggest the mineralization and the favourable rock types could extend much farther.
The Mildred Peak Property has been visited and pertinent data has been reviewed by R.D. Somerville, P.Eng., a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
