VANCOUVER, March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Further to our news release of January 18, 2006, Golden Arch Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce the results from the continuing diamond drilling program on the Rachel Gold Vein on the Mildred Peak property, Arizona. Since the previous announcement concerning Hole No. MP05-06, five additional holes have been completed from the same drill pad, with results listed in the table below.
The diamond drill program continues to expand the Rachel Gold Vein, a highly anomalous zone of gold and silver quartz veining and silicification, ranging from approximately 0.91 meters (3') to 7.9 meters (26') in thickness. This silica-rich vein lies in a variably thick, intensely altered, mineralized zone about 10 meters (32.8') thick carrying gold values up to 1 g/mt (0.029 opt). Above the Rachel vein and its surrounding alteration zone, lies a belt of moderate to slightly altered meta-conglomerate with anomalous gold and silver, with values ranging to over 0.5 g/mt Au (0.015 opt).
Hole No. MP06-10 cut a 7.9 meter (26') section of the Rachel Vein which graded 2.94 gm Au/mt and 32.25 gm Ag/mt (0.086 opt Au and 0.94 opt Ag.) This section included a 1.83 meter length (6.0') which graded 6.48 gm/mt Au and 69.93 gm/mt Ag (0.189 opt Au and 2.04 opt Ag).
Section and Cross Section are attached/available on the website.
A weighted average of all six holes drilled to date on this vein (also including the average of the surface trench sampling) is 3.70 gm/mt Au (0.108 opt Au) and 23.38 gm/mt Ag (0.682 opt).
